Identifying target users
In our initial talks with the client, we found a need to customize the websites for both the primary and secondary users.
Testflix is mainly for software testing professionals like test engineers, test managers, automation testers, and test leads. Another user group includes programmers, IT specialists, and students who are interested in using Testflix for software testing research, education, and professional development.
Understanding how the competitors are marketing themselves
Hero Section, Social Proof & Unique Features to show networking opportunities to create curiosity
We ensured the Hero Section displayed Testflix's value and included a clear call to action to register for the conference. Then, we added the Sponsors for social proof and networking opportunities and listed the conference's unique features to spark curiosity.
Taking into consideration the requirements from the client
Highlighting Speakers & Improving the visibility of the talks for easy signup
We emphasized the event's value with many speakers and added visible social media links for networking. The conference covers various themes and talks. We focused on making them discoverable and encouraging registration.

Designing and prototyping the after gathering the requirements
We prioritized mobile-first design as most users browse on smartphones
By focusing on mobile first, we aimed to enhance the user experience for on-the-go professionals, allowing them to access information quickly and efficiently.
Learnings from the project
Relying on stakeholders’ expertise
When doing this project without user research, I understood the importance of stakeholders and their knowledge of their customers and business. The client and his team’s opinions were valuable and essential in shaping this project to get the desired results.
Learnt adaptability and flexibility
Despite being unable to do user research and understand measurable outcomes, the project showcased my ability to creatively address challenges, collaborate with clients, and adhere to design principles to achieve a visually appealing and brand-aligned result.
Being insight driven in the future
I left the project, even before I could measure the impact my redesigned work had made. I would have used more research and insights, if I had more time with the project. I would also have measured the conversion rate, bounce rate and information placement on the website, to identify improvements for the next iteration.
